Loaded with as much information as a carrier pigeon could comfortably cross the channel from Blighty to the French resistance in deepest Normandy safely I set off to explore Dr. Google. Conscious of the plethora of charlatans, quacks, horse doctors, shamen, and snake oil salesmen who plied their unregulated trade there, I set off hesitantly and with a sense of foreboding as to what information I might glean and of that what would in fact be useful to me. Times were somewhat simpler back in 2010, there was fortunately only "good news" and "bad news" to deal with, "fake news" had yet to make it's mark and trump the former in it's scale and prevalence.
Parkinson's is traditionally considered as a disease, but it is increasingly being referred to as a disorder, specifically a progressive neurological disorder. In an ever increasing practise of herding people into groups, where computer algorithms can predict their shopping preferences, music tastes, tv habits and subject them to targeted advertising. The strange characteristic of Parkinsons is that no two people will present with the same symptoms and neither will they respond in the same way to the medley of drugs currently available. This makes each patient retain their individuality when all about them are losing theirs!
