Unsteady As She Goes!

Not sure how to start this entry other than to address it directly, I got an unwelcome surprise just after having lunch at work one day. I was not feeling unwell in anyway ( apart from the obvious) when I went to go pee in the bathroom and was taken aback by the volume of blood that I passed in place of the customary discoloured urine ( the Stalevo medication gives this a distinctive tinge that is instantly recognisable). With a little bit of apprehension I contacted my local GP and arranged an immediate appointment, he examined me and not able to give an accurate diagnosis directed me to the local hospital A&E. I vividly recall it was a Thursday evening as this tends to be a busy day in the A&E. I waited for a number of hours and finally was placed on a hospital trolley with a hastily fitted catheter - quite an uncomfortable and painful experience as I was to learn later should not have been the casee, when installed correctly and patiently. I spent about 11 hours on the trolley in a corridor with other folk of mixed ailments and degrees of discomfort and pain. This was made all the more chaotic by the number of drunk people who seemed to wander in through the night demanding immediate attention to their self-inflicted injuries. This was complemented by the number of youths who had their first experience of excess alcohol and were having their stomach pumped.
